Hola! We are the Kurt and Steph Carter, originally from Kentucky.
Tired of hearing daily about climbing the corporate ladder, we decided to pay off all credit card, auto, and student loan debt, and sell our house. On October 11, 2016 our dream of living in Ecuador became a reality for us. After much research, we decided to live in the northern part of the country, in the sierras, in Atuntaqui.
Even though we moved primarily for our ministry, we feel that even if you are not of the same faith as us, we feel we could still offer you a lot of good information on daily living and traveling as expats.

Thank you Pauline for your compliment. Yes there are single sisters serving in Ecuador. As a matter of fact, last night a widowed sister who is a family friend just arrived last night. She is planning on moving here by the end of May. I, also, have a friend who is single moving here May 31st. There are plenty of single sisters – all ages- in our area.
